Governance Module 17 – WHS Oversight

Work health and safety (WHS) in the school context includes the safety of the whole school community, particularly staff and students. The duty of care applies to all school activities wherever they occur, and can extend outside the direct remit of the school in relation to students.

While WHS legislation is harmonised in most states/territories, there are a range of requirements specific to each jurisdiction. This training covers a board’s overarching duty to care for people’s safety at and associated with school.

This course will help boards in this important task.
